What Magic decks can I build with the cards I own?
Export your collection as a CSV from the app you keep it in and load it on DeckScout. It compares your cards with real decklists that players built and published on EDHREC, Archidekt and MTGGoldfish, and ranks them by how much of each you already own. Every deck comes back with the cards you are missing, what they cost, and one shopping list. It is free, it runs in the browser, and there is nothing to install.

How it works
- Export your collection as a CSV: there is a step-by-step guide for ManaBox, Moxfield, Archidekt, Deckbox and TCGplayer, and any CSV with a card-name column and a quantity column works too.
- Load the file on DeckScout. Before any search it lists the cards you own that can lead a Commander deck, by color identity.
- Pick a format and, if you like, colors, a minimum completion (60% by default) and a budget, then press Find decks I can build.
- Read the decks you are closest to: how much of each you own, the missing cards and their price, and a shopping list for the ones you pick.
What you get for each deck
- Completion: the share of the deck's cards you already own. Basic lands never count.
- The missing cards, with their price and the total to finish the deck.
- Legality in the format, and for Commander a bracket on the 1 to 5 scale.
- Buy buttons: the missing cards go to TCGplayer's Mass Entry, or are copied for a Cardmarket Wants list.
- With a free account: save decks, reserve the cards of decks you built, and a price alert when what you are missing gets cheaper.
An example
On 7 October 2026 the sample collection DeckScout offers to anyone (190 different cards, a small Golgari pile) was compared with 50 real Commander decks. The closest, Ygra, Eater of All, was 91% owned: 7 cards and about €6 from finished. Run the same search now: the numbers move as decklists and prices change.
Real decks, not generated ones
Most tools that start from a collection generate a new deck for you, often with AI, around a commander you pick. DeckScout does the opposite: it looks for decks other players already built and tells you how close you are to each one. If you want a list made for you, a generator fits; if you want to know which proven decks you are a few cards away from, DeckScout is built for that. The tools, compared.
Formats
Commander first, starting from the commanders you own. Also modern, pioneer, standard, legacy, vintage, pauper, pauper edh, duel commander, brawl, oathbreaker, premodern, predh, historic, explorer, timeless, each searched on the sources that publish decks for it.
What it costs
One search needs no account, and shows the 3 decks closest to the collection. Signing in (Google, Discord) is free and shows every deck a search finds, with 5 searches a month, the same for everyone, back on the 1st. Nothing is paid for: supporters on Ko-fi get a larger allowance as a thank-you, never a locked feature. No ads.
Questions
Do I have to type my cards in?
No. Export the collection as a CSV from the app it lives in and load the file: DeckScout recognizes ManaBox, Moxfield, Archidekt, Deckbox and TCGplayer exports on its own. Export guides.
Does DeckScout build the deck for me with AI?
No. It compares your cards with decklists real players built, on EDHREC, Archidekt and MTGGoldfish, and shows how close you are to each. Card data and prices come from Scryfall.
How much of a deck do I need to own?
You choose: 60% by default, anywhere from 50% to 100%. The results lead with the closest decks even when none reaches it.
Does it work for Modern, Pauper or Standard?
Yes. Commander is the main format; 60-card formats are searched on MTGGoldfish's metagame and on Archidekt.
Is my collection shared with anyone?
No. The file stays on DeckScout's server and is never sold or shared; card names are sent to the deck sources and to Scryfall, with nothing that identifies you. Privacy policy.
